I would suggest looking at what the Lakers did between 2011 and 2018. If they didn't have the worst record in the league during that period, it was close. [Reply]

You said decade before LeBron joined so that's what I looked up.
If you want 2011 and 2018, I see a western conference finals appearance and a first round exit. Not much different than the first round exit and pandemic finals victory since lebron joined.
The Lakers will go on. And while they likely will have down years post lebron that is typical of the carnage left from when a team loses a great player. And especially one like lebron who leaves an extra amount of carnage behind. [Reply]
