Sorry, but they're not leaving out Alabama unless they absolutely have to. That's just the nature of this beast. Maybe if Georgia and Alabama had swapped places somehow things would be different, but even them it would still just be Ohio State. Maybe their agenda is to force schools like UCF and Notre Dame into a power 5, who knows. With how scummy the NCAA is it wouldn't surprise me. [Reply]

At the time, they weren't one of the top 4. They had one (and arguably not one) quality win. Now looking back, yes you can make that argument that maybe they could have competed, but they weren't one of the top 4. [Reply]
What lopsided games these two will be. Notre Dame and Oklahoma are probably like Top 12 teams at best, if that, one gets to play an independent schedule and the other plays in the Big 12, which doesn't really even count. Oklahoma gave up 40 points to Kansas. KANSAS.
Iowa and Mississippi State will be a great game that nobody will care about. Both Top 10 in Sagarin Predictive Rankings. Iowa #10, Miss State #8. [Reply]

Didn't realize you bumped it. I was just reading the OP and going WTF on the matchups and looked at the date. Saw it was 2017 and posted.
