You have to play Adams way too many minutes and watch Yesefu throw up bricks.
I think Rice would’ve been given minutes though. He just had several flukey things happen that prevented it early. Now, it’s probably too late.
Hope he understands what another year at Kansas could mean and doesn’t get frustrated. He wouldn’t get drafted, but it’s easy for us to see. [Reply]
Bill is going to need to play Zuby alot in this game. Tschwiebewaywaywayawhatever is going to feast on the glass and KJ can't rebound. Zuby isn't great right now but at least he can rebound.
KJ Adams, our center, is 9th on the team in rebounds per 40 minutes. This goes without saying, is not good. [Reply]

I didn't get in to him defensively because I didn't want to make my post even longer than it was, but he draws energy from being good on defense. I think we can all see that. The problem is when other guys around him aren't playing well defensively, so much of what he can bring doesn't happen. Their screen and roll defense has been pretty bad the last few games, and as has been noted they can't stop anyone inside, even an injured center that can barely walk. This allows teams to scheme him out by attacking Wilson/dick/any backup center we have on those pick and rolls and attacking anyone inside with post ups. Harris could be in his prime Gary Payton and it doesn't matter, he can't erase everything.
Where he's at his best is early in the season and last year when he can essentially play more of a free safety role and jump passing lanes and surprise people with double teams. For that to happen, he needs the wings to hold up well on the perimeter and force them to make lots of contested passes, increasing the odds that he can get a steal or deflection. It also leads to more long shot clock possessions where his guy might get the ball with 6 seconds left and he can attack defensively, knowing he has no other options than to try and score. We saw him really excel last year because we didn't have any easy things to exploit defensively and Agbaji and Braun could obviously hold their own against anyone. Early on the wings were doing that, but lately they haven't been. But just watch, when we have a great defensive effort all the way around, you'll see him bounce back and be more of himself. This UK team is pretty weak on the perimeter so there's hope it can happen tonight. [Reply]

Whoa..you've finally come to your senses.
With this blessing I'm gonna call a KU victory 74-70. And a Chiefs victory 35-27.
