News became official on June 27, 2022 that Vinnie Pasquantino was being called up
He makes his debut today, June 28, 2022, batting 6th. As is tradition on CP when a potential future hall-of-famer gets called up and makes his debut, a game thread must be made. First came Witt Jr., then Melendez, now the VP of major league baseball is here and here to stay.

People told me I was INSANE and DRUNK and HIGH ON PCP when I drafted BWJ over Corey Seager. I see Corey Seager is batting <.220 with his obvious 0 stolen bases and his less obvious not-many-HRs and BWJ is way better already, as predicted.
Also, this Heasley character is 4 times the pitcher Bubic is. [Reply]
Good god John Gray lurks CP and he saw what I said about him and he's PISSED. That's my bad guys. This is the best I've ever seen him look and I can't help but feel responsible. [Reply]
Hosmer is a jerk. Did you know that he tried to big time Eno Sarris, the fangraphs baseball writer? It didn't occur to him that baseball writers can write things about the baseball players they interact with. So Sarris said what Hosmer did, which was just locker room clown shit that he didn't have the standing to pull off against a BBWA writer. I support Sarris on that. If Hosmer is gonna try to bully a baseball writer in the clubhouse, he's gonna get bad press over it, and people are gonna hate him forever over it. [Reply]
