Dante84 01:00 PM 04-23-2021
developing.

The #Ravens are trading LT Orlando Brown to the #Chiefs, per me and @MikeGarafolo. A new blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes.

— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) April 23, 2021

Kansas City is trading its first-round pick Thursday night, along with three other picks in the 2021 and 2022 drafts, to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Pro Bowl OT Orlando Brown and one pick in the 2021 draft and another in 2022, per sources.

Full details: #Chiefs get:
Orland Brown, 2021 2nd and a 2022 6th rounder
Ravens get: 2021 1st, 3rd, 4th and 20221 5th

My guess is Frank Clark has another disappointing year, and we get out of that deal, and a big chunk of that goes to Brown.
Brett Veach is a savage, anyone who stands in the way of Patrick Mahomes’ rings will get fired into the moon at the flick of his pen.

Next year, I think he overhauls DE and LB.

Hitchens, Niemann and Clark will be sent packing.

Nostalgia... anyhow: this was a decisively good trade for Veach. Another feather in his cap! It's funny to see Ravens' fans pump their firsts and form delusional rationales that this move was awesome for their franchise..

It's like dropping a vital potion or piece of armor right before fighting a particularly difficult boss in Dark Souls. Or, rather, handing it directly to the enemy. (us)

My first post here. Seems like a good group. Wide variety of topics, however. Anyone clue me in on some of the decorum and traditions that entering this community entails? A get to know new members section? Just curious.

I'm certain this point has been made already, but if you include Kyle Long, Veach has added three Pro Bowlers and two All Pros to the OL.

LT: Brown
LG: Thuney
C: Blythe
RG: Long
RT: Niang

depth: Remmers, LDT, Wylie, Allegretti, Rankin

Man. If the Chiefs can pad out that center position in the draft, that very well may be a Top 5 OL in the NFL.

A Fort Knox garage is a waste protecting our Lamborghini QB ? A carport is okay with you?? Really ?? We saw what happened last year:-)

Now time to address arguably the second biggest flaw exposed in the Super Bowl... upgrading the non-Tyreek/Kelce pass catching options.
in my opinion, the former fixed the latter... You give Mahomes more time to throw and the ability to run the ball with this line and those #2 and #3 receivers look a lot better.

Read my post again, and stop cherry picking when you quote.

There IS a price too high to pay for a LT. That's my fucking point.

We didn't reach that too high price with the Orlando Brown trade. But before the trade happened, we had people talking about trading entire drafts this year and next year to move up and draft Sewell because "nothing was too good!"

No, I just think your takes are dumb as fuck.

Drafting a developing a player is one thing but overpaying in the form of multiple 1st and 2nd round picks is WAY too high of a price to pay for a single offensive lineman.

So yes, there is too high of a price to pay.

You've really found joy in life. Happy for you. Context and nuance can't be far behind. Mr. MJP.

So, tell us, when have the Chiefs not protected Mahomes?

Fisher and Schwartz were among the best tackle combo in the league. Mahomes threw for 50 TD's and 5,000 yards in 2019, won the Super Bowl in 2019 and repeated as AFC Champions in 2020.

Your posts indicate that the Chiefs haven't surrounded him with enough talent, which is clearly false.
