Opening ceremony happening now. Consider this your repository for all things olympics.

I always tell myself I like the Summer Olympics more than the Winter Olympics. Maybe not. Having a hard time getting into this. Maybe it's because Team USA sucks so bad at basketball this time around.

I see people that seem just as good at a nearby local skate park.
Yeah but watching them eat shit is hilarious.

Count me in on being unimpressed with synchro diving and skateboarding. Yawn.

Now if the surfing is anything like the King of the Mavericks competition I'm all in.

Or maybe it's just the fact that the pressure is just too fucking insane.

How do you think a guy like John McEnroe would have handled the internet and 24/7 paparazzi that encompasses athletes these days?

There is an enormous amount of pressure on these people, who just want to play their sport.

Not everyone wants to be "famous".

The era of the quitter Olympian. Should be a contradiction in terms.

Guess I'm not getting what you're trying to say here.

I just remember his tirades on the court. I would only assume if then was now the tirades would definitely spill all over the interwebs and social media. :-)

I'm referring to his every move being scrutinized on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, let alone, all of the media outlets.

Some people can handle that kind of negativity and others can't and lose their fucking minds. I mean, we see it all the time with famous young kids whether they're athletes like Biles and Osaka or Britney Spears or Demi Lovato or Miley Cyrus and so on.

Some people are built for fame and some people aren't.
