Molina IS an obviously declining older player.

And somehow got a raise over last season.

Really incredible.

Mikolas' extension was just as stupid and unnecessary at the time. But yea the Carp extension was epic stupid.

The money we have paid Carp, Fowler, Mikolas, and that shitty ass lefty reliver (name escapes my mind) would have paid for a couple much better players. I think thats DJ's point.

Brett Cecil, 4 years 30 million. :-)

Unless you mean: Andrew Miller, 2 years 25 million.

You have to be more specific when discussing Mo's lefty reliever debacles :-)

Well, Yepez just got drilled in the face.

Cardinals just had a 15 run 8th inning and are up 28-4.

Probably why I couldn't quite remember, too many fuckups to keep straight.

Cavalli throws gas, too - that's no bueno.

Wasn't televised today so I haven't seen anything on it. And by most accounts Cavalli didn't bring anything to the mound with him today so with any luck it was just a breaker that got away or something.

Spring training is worse than 4th quarter preseason football by a mile.

Bader signs for two years, $10M, through 2023 season. Don’t see much negative this but open to being wrong.

The 2022 bench and starters are set.

13 positions players on the active roster and, after the eight starters, defined the bench as Albert Pujols, Corey Dickerson, infielder Edmundo Sosa, backup catcher Andrew Knizner, and left-handed hitting outfielder Lars Nootbaar.

Nothing surprising there I don’t think.

Yeah once they got Pujols which young player they were going to keep on the roster went out the window.

Couple of pitchers for the last spot or two. Not much roster intrigues there either.
