Chiefs execute and no stupid ****ing fumble to yourself or passes to yourself stupid ass ****ing fluke plays and we win by two touchdowns.
LOL I know. The fucking AFC south with their BS TD's. Mariota AND Luck!
But to your first point - Watson's mobility really reminded me of Mahomes. He avoided pressure really well. But he threw for shit. One-hopped nearly everything. [Reply]

It's like pointing out your wins against teams after your 1-5 start. The only above-average QB was Watson. The rest were literally people that I had no idea were still in the league. Derek fucking Anderson?!?!?! [Reply]

I agree that they didn't play Offensive monsters. They did, however, shut out the Cowboys with Prescot who is at least above average. The Colts D did not allow a 100-yard rusher all year. [Reply]

If you believe QBR, Prescott was 17th. Seems quite average. [Reply]

You're not wrong.
Let's run through them.
Win at Denver - Chiefs were actually down 10 coming into the 4Q but Mahomes has drives of 95 and 75 yards for TDs. Defense has two stops (forced punt and turnover on downs).
Loss at New England - Chiefs didn't show up the first half but somehow tied it requiring NE to get a FG to win.
Win at home against Bengals. Chiefs put up 45.
Loss at St. Louis - Ridiculous scoring game and again, needed the Rams to score right at the end to win.
Loss at home to Chargers - Chiefs had the lead but gave it up on a last second TD and Chargers went for 2 for the win. Shitty flags, but they did miss a roughing the passer on Rivers too so it evened out. PS - this was the Chiefs ONLY home loss this season.
Loss at Seattle. Seattle played pretty well. Probably the Chiefs worst game overall this season. They lost by 7. This was also the Chiefs worst loss.
I'd also note that the Chiefs lowest scoring games all season were 27 (twice), and they did it against the #2 and #4 defenses (Baltimore and Denver, respectively). Colts had a fucking double bagel at Jacksonville! [Reply]
It's not going to be a cake walk. The Colts scheme very well and time their zone blitzes almost perfectly. If the oline can't pick up the pressure, its going to be a long day. [Reply]
To quote Football Outsiders: "The simple version: DYAR means a quarterback with more total value. DVOA means a quarterback with more value per play."
Dak had a terrible year (I'm not saying he wasn't good other years).
They made the right decisions to give Elliott the ball.
And side note - Mahomes is # 1 in both DYAR and DVOA. And no, I haven't just become a fan of FO. I've followed them through all the Alex years too. Hell, they have a stat called the ALEX (how short of the sticks a QB throws it on 3rd down) - Mahomes is the highest in the league and Alex was ALWAYS the lowest. [Reply]

What about passes that get out in 2.5 seconds or less? All Mahomes did there was complete 79.3% of his passes and throw for 27 touchdowns compared to one interception.
He has 27 gains of 20 or more yards when pressured and 23 gains of 20 or more yards when moved outside the pocket, both of which lead the league.
He seeks out the big throw on those extended plays with an average depth of target of 18.4 yards when the pass comes over three seconds after the snap.
He was excellent from a clean pocket with a passer rating of 134.2, which not only led the league, but it was the highest mark for any quarterback since 2006 that had at least 400 dropbacks.
