2017
Bucky Hodges selected with pick #201. Released 9-12-17

2018
Colby Gossett selected with pick #213. Waived 9-1-18
Ade Aruna selected with pick #218. Injured, then waived 8-31-19.

2019
Armon Watts selected with pick #190. He played in 23 games with 1 start and had 42 tackles combined and 2 sacks.
Marcus Epps selected with pick #191. Waived 11-6-19
Oli Udoh selected with pick #193. He played 7 games with 0 starts.

2020
Blake Brandel selected with pick #203. Waived 9-5-20
Josh Metellus selected with pick #205. He played 15 games with 9 tackles.

I only went back to 2017, but it's not like you guys have amazing success with these 6th round picks and the 6th round pick we traded you is likely to be very near the end of the 6th round as opposed to those listed above. What you got in return for trading us a player and a pick is not much at all.
I was about to bring up Stefon Diggs, but he went in the 5th round, not the 6th.

I know 6th round picks aren't supposed to be franchise cornerstones or anything, but that's really not much of a list you brought up. There are a couple nice depth guys the Vikings got on the list you put up, but again, it's all relative for what 6th rounders generally get you.

Going back past 2017, the next most recent noteworthy 6th round selection for the Vikings (infamous to the franchise, though) would be taking Blair Walsh in 2012.

If you want an honest-to-goodness good solid starting player drafted in the 6th round by the Vikings, you have to go back to 1998 with Matt Birk.

We didn't give up much of anything

the only real risk is a potential injury settlement because of his neck.

Worth it. I hope that doesn't mean Breeland isn't coming back though.

I doubt this guy has anything to do with Breeland.

We're talking about two different areas of the depth chart.

This guy enriches competition on the back end of the roster. He's here to compete with Baker and Keyes.

Breeland is an immediate starter.

We know what we got. And we know what we gave up (nothing).

If he turns out to be broke, and he probably is, we're out NOTHING.

JFC, what a stupid thing to argue about. But I guess that's what happens when you have a mediocre QB making $45M guaranteed.
Rumor is that the Chiefs got fleeced lol.....

Don't know that we have a lot of luck with consistently broken people coming in and suddenly being luckier health wise. I'm interested how much faith he has in his body at this point, and will he play afraid because of it. Didn't give up much at least.

Over the years of being a fan of the Chiefs, I can recall some horrible trades that left us worse off and in some cases, much worse off. Some of those trades set the franchise back severely. There is no way in hell that this trade will ever be seen as having set the franchise back even slightly, though the upside is distinctly possible.

How lame is your team when you go register on a perennial SB contender's fanboard to chortle over how you think they got fleeced on a 6th rounder trade?

I mean, really?

If this is the move that we can look back on and say "Wow, Veach went full blockhead with that one!", I think I'll eventually be ok with it.

Vikings dude comes in here to pound his chest, immediately gets Kirk Cousins thrown back at him. It's justice, really.

If you guys can bring him back, more power to you. It's one thing to have spinal fusion surgery when you're Peyton Manning at 38 years old. It's another thing when you're a dimeback at 25.
So you come here and profess how the Vikes fleeced us, then you run over to the Orange Mange and start a thread and talk shit at how we reacted to your chest pounding. Vikings Fans - :-) :-)

Dude actually ran to the Mange and started a thread about us. :-)
Completely left out the fact that he came here first bragging how we got fleeced. So he runs off, tail between his legs, to the Mange b/c we are so mean. Now he's the most popular guy there b/c he's dogging us. Can't make this shit up. :-)

OMG that's hysterical. I had to go read it. He's whining about how horribly he was treated. What a wuss. He wasn't even treated that badly here.

Wow, what a bitch.

MikeVike and the rest of those Donk fans can go suck a dick. Link this thread to them, pussy.

What kind of fruit cake runs to a division rival message board to whine about how he was treated?

You are one special ass fucking moron.
