I used to work at the Qwest center in Omaha and we would sell only plastic bottles with the lids removed. Yeah, you might spill, but if you chuck that thing, it would lose a lot of heft before it hit anyone. I worked the Corona\Pacifico cart and we poured the beer into plastic cups. Nobody got their lips split by a thrown beer bottle...maybe that's what they are getting at...
