I solved Semantle #26 in 112 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 0.31. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #27. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 46.67 (929/1000). https://semantle.novalis.org/ [Reply]

I eventually got in the ballpark, but giving up on it and don't think I'll be revisiting that one. :-)
I got in the realm of history/lore/legend and got stuck for quite a while. Then got some of the people titles that you have that were closer. I finally got it. But the warmer-colder gradient is not intuitive and a little frustrating.

Yes, how words affect the warmer-colder gradient isn’t intuitive and a little frustrating.
For example, if the key word is “helmet”, socks would score higher than motorcycle, because socks are apparel, as is helmet. [Reply]

That's an excellent example. Also as I mentioned plurals and tenses etc will make a difference. For example a previous puzzle had small as 8.13 (cold) and smallest as 33.8 (808/1000).
It's not something you're going to get in 5-10 minutes, that's for sure. [Reply]
