It was absolutely fucking fine, by NFL ref standards (which admittedly aren't high). Bengals just talked shit they couldn't back up so naturally they had to find something else to blame. Pathetic [Reply]
This game seemed like the refs were more disorganized than anything else. It’s not that they called a bunch of unjust penalties or missed a bunch of calls either way, but it felt like this was a crew that hadn’t worked together much. Besides the whole replay 3rd down thing, that decision by them to rule Mahomes down after Cincy threw the challenge flag, but not charge them with a challenge was pretty screwy. [Reply]

It's the downside of shuffling crews in the playoffs. I think they probably get more right than wrong when they do it, but it makes the whole process seem a bit more clunky. [Reply]

Nobody could hear. Burrow was screaming in the huddle. The refs couldn't hear each other. Nobody heard the whistle, not on TV or in the stadium.
It wasn't a mistake, it was just a byproduct of the crowd noise.
What do you want to do? Start penalizing fans for being too loud?
