I once worked for a large company that went through downsizing at least once a year. Then they'd be out within a week hiring contractors to backfill. Sure enough they were able to rid themselves of some money for employee benefits, but they often hired those same contract employees after a year. One guy I worked with was on his 3rd contract after being let go twice. What a fucking way to run a railroad. BTW, the company is no longer in business. [Reply]
