I'm just trying to think of a scenario where the NFL PR machine allows the great Walton/Wilson unveiling to a national audience be an embarrassment.

After months of inflated hype and a $4.6 billion purchase? Donks would have to be epically bad to the point that even officiating couldn't save them.

It's a big ask of Carrol...to fall on his sword on opening night.

It's a league of billionaire corrupt businessman...coaches have very little power in the end. They are merely employees...

Your spoiled/entitled football brat owners put the team up for sale...Walton buying your team didn't happen overnight. Patton was still at their beckon call...he worked for them.

I think part of the negotiation was contingent on bringing in a "name brand" QB....they tried for Rodgers and he ultimately balked. Then you see Wilson in Goodell's SB suite...one months later, he's traded to the Donks. Three months later...Walton buys them for a record amount.

This was, IMO, the reason for the crazy-ass deal...Patton was doing as he was instructed...and Seattle took them to the cleaners. It wasn't a "football" move per se...it was facilitated as part of the sale. To make the team more appealing to a non-football business man like Walton (he cant even pronounce the commissioners name...think about that). The previous owners just clowned your entire fan-base....they got a record 4.6 billion and rode off into the sunset.

They've deliberately hamstrung your franchise for a few years...but what do they care. Goodell want's ownership stability...and high profile billionaires to pimp his "global brand".

Now Goodell/NFL corporate is disingenuously trying to over-hype the transaction...and have given the mouthpiece delivery boys their narrative for the off-season. Kind of a "soft cover up". They want the fans to see this as a good "football move" thing...all the while it was really done solely for business purposes and to jack up the asking price.

Now...we'll see if this manufactured pre-season hype filters into actual games/officiating ...inventing a success story for the new owner.
I just can’t even fathom the type of constant ridiculous calls it would take to get that team to the playoffs. They suck!

Accord to the Reddit Dungver sub, half of them think they’re winning the division. And the other half, just want to FINALLY beat KC. Not this year, dumb fucks. It would take one hell of a turd for Andy and Patrick to lose to that dumpster fire franchise. And Patrick isn’t gonna stop til we hit at LEAST the number on his jersey. I hope when we roll it to 15 straight, he has an epic celebration planned!!

How many have regressed? Hell which ones were consistently good prior?

Manning got better once he came to Denver.

Broncos corners outside of Surtain are:

Darby-always injured. Played a full season 1 time in 7 year career
K’Vaun Williams-31 years old. Slot specialist
Ojemudia-looks like a bust. No INT’s in 2 years and very meh
Mathis-rookie. Got ass raped in Buffalo…

Their starting LB’s appear to be Joseph Jewell and Jonas Griffith. A day 3 and undrafted player. Both not very fast

That’s not even counting the problems they’ve have at edge.

Really shows how good of a defensive coach Vic Fangio was to make these guys look good

Of course he did...HGH is banned in the NFL for a reason. It gives players a physical advantage they normally would'nt have...like throwing for 55 TDs with a surgically repaired neck.

Of course 55 dropped to 9 when he had to stop....it was a pretty amazing transition...he could barely throw the football overnight.

Moobs had Schottenheimer fired then played the nice guy to the media...got a new OC, Waldron, then proceeded to stink it up...which led to him being in Denver.

Really smarmy move to want him fired...that defend him to the media and pin the blame on Carroll.

We'll see how another OC transition pans out for him...

According to Corbin K. Smith with SI.com, former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer was a big reason why Wilson wanted to be traded.

Smith mentions in his report that Wilson had publicly supported Schottenheimer after he was fired by head coach Pete Carroll. However, Smith’s source indicates that wasn’t the reality in private.

“In fact, per a team source, while they didn’t hold ill will towards one another and maintained respect for each other, the perennial Pro Bowl quarterback and his representatives ‘pushed hard’ for a coordinator change behind the scenes after a disappointing finish to the 2020 season,” Smith said.

That "disappointing" ending was when teams starting playing cover 2...and took Moobs out of his comfort zone.

So how long until he throws Hackett under the bus....week 8-9?

It’s becoming pretty clear that he’s very phony and two-faced. And he’ll throw anyone under the bus to protect his image.

He’s publicly thrown both his teammates and head coach under the bus, and he apparently threw his “good pal” Schotty under the bus behind the scenes. While publicly pointing the finger at Carroll and pretending to be devastated by it.

Then, despite the fact that Seattle acquiesced to all his demands, he still whined his way out of town. His agent furiously pushed for a trade, while Wilson publicly denied asking for one.

I’m betting that Wilson is despised by most in the Seahawks organization at this point. I think week 1 will be very telling. I’ll bet Seattle pulls out all the stops to win that game.

Definitely would explain such a sudden and drastic decline. Natural hormone production ceases when you take exogenous hormones. When he stopped, his growth hormone levels would have bottomed out and been lower than before he started.
