Nzoner's Game Room>Looking at Tyreek Hill
Hog's Gone Fishin 02:03 PM 09-18-2022
160 yards today, 2 TD's EDIT Finished with 190 yds and 2 TD's

Just did a classis blow by and Tua hit him in stride

Waddle has 161

Tua is the most accurate passer in the history of the NFL not named Patrick Mahomes

He's still fun to watch.

Still 4 minutes left

Hoping the Fins beat the Ravens

Yep. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are in great shape with the cap and will add a bunch more draft picks next season. They're better than those teams even in this "rebuilding" year, and they're far better positioned for the future.

We traded Hill for -> McDuffie, Skyy Moore, Joshua Williams, Darren Kinnard (from trading down the 2nd) and next year's 4th and 6th round picks.
I'd say the Chiefs did pretty good. All four players drafted this year made the team. Two of them are legitimate studs. And we have them at cheap deals for the next four years.
The trade made the Chiefs a deeper more complete roster with more talent to add in next year's draft.

This doesn't even account for the cap space and flexibility going forward.

Not to mention all the cap space.

Do you know how averages work lol? He's getting 95mil over 4 years. What does that equal out to?

Speaking of cap space - Houston didn't look bad last week. No, he's not what he was but he can still get to the QB. I'd take him back.

Even though they still have Jaylon Ferguson on a rookie deal.

Too soon?

Why would we talk about averages when we know the actual cap hits? AAV is meaningless.

You talk about averages because yearly cap hits are liquid. They are easily manipulated.

His cap hit for this season is not fluid.

And for the record, AAV is the very definition of “easily manipulated”.

Because you can structure a contract anyway you want to depending on what works best for your team. We likely would have taken a bigger cap hit this year and less next year if he resigned with us. His cap hit wouldn't be just 6 mil this year like it is with the dolphins, and it wouldn't be 31 mil next year. It would be smoothed out some.

I think it made sense. We all get it.

Depth and such is how you win in the regular season. Come playoff time, we may need that one difference maker, but you have to hope your difference making QB makes up for it.

As of now he has more yards than our top 4 WRs combined and only 10 less than our top 5 combined.

Really hope we get a breakout game from one of our WRs this week.
