Mangino's 07' team was alot like Frosts UCF team where they could get 3* athletes and spread teams out. Schools in the big 12 that year didn't really have that hybrid Safety/Linebacker. Teams eventually adapted and that's why 2 years later Mangino lost 8 games in a row and why Frost has struggled in the B1G.
If you want to run a spread RPO in the B1G you better be able to recruit elite players otherwise the formula is the Iowa/Wisconsin/Northwestern model. Play good defense, develop lineman and be able to run the ball with a game manager type QB [Reply]
