Blade Runner, Chariots of Fire.

I thought Vangelis was a band, not a person.

The Blade Runner score was outstanding. Perhaps my only problem with 2049 was the absence of the original score.

Anyway, RIP.

This piece caused me to go back to the piano.

It's from Blade Runner, the original version. It seems like it is the long version.

Sean Young is the hotty in the movie. If you do a little research, she is a total wack job.

Another Vangelis worth looking into is movie "Thief" with the ever studly James Caan.

All of Vangelis music is very relaxing mood type stuff.

RIP.
I believe Thief was Tangerine Dream...owned the vinyl back in the day. Great Michael Mann flick...

Did the dirty work, drew attention away from the playmakers.

That Chariots of Fire theme song made him a household name when that movie came out.

It was played on the radio non-stop for 6 months. It was everywhere.

Also endlessly parodied, much like the theme from Jaws. It truly is iconic.

If you've never heard The Friends Of Mr Cairo turn it up.It's a tribute to old gangster films and done with Jon Anderson of Yes.We wore this epic out in college back in the 80's

Actually the whole Jon and Vangelis album is pretty good.
