So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.
That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL
How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?
I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave. [Reply]
Offer Brown the opportunity to move to RT and pay as a top 5 RT in the league. If he denies the opportunity because he lives in a fantasy world where he's the best at his position, let him talk to other teams to work out a trade or sign for the highest offer. On his best day, he's a middle of the pack player at LT... [Reply]

Yep...On his absolute BEST day, when everyone else is having a terrible one. He is not a LT. [Reply]

EXACTLY what they should do after the bye.
if mahomes is getting killed the week before the bye there's no doubt geron can pass block a hell of a lot better at LT, and brown gives you a better player at RT and creed-trey-brown will maul people over there
i bet this is already the plan...they didn't sign geron for no reason...they saw his tape...he's the contingency plan if brown blows it [Reply]

I was going to post something similarly...draft a LT...Brown is there as better option in a pinch if needed, but that right side becomes dominant in the run game.
I still doubt he would consider it, but he should. I can't believe anyone is going to pay him top left tackle money. [Reply]
