The Jacksonville Jaguars select Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville
Sure, I could take the best TE in this class, or a guy like Ronnie Harrison to make the defense even better, but this team isn’t going to take the next step without a QB. With this defense, the Jags need above average QB play on a rookie contract in the worst way. I don’t see any potential above average QB’s in this class after Jackson, so this is an easy decision for me.
Also, I think this team has such a good young roster they can afford to take a QB in the early rounds any of the next couple of years too making it well worth the gamble on Jackson’s upside. [Reply]

He's either going to be a WR or out of the league [Reply]
With the 31st selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select Kolton Miller, OT, UCLA.
Virtually a carbon copy of Nate Solder is long, athletic, and rough around the edges. Needing seasoning didn't stop the Patriots from grabbing Solder at the 17th overall in 2011. With Solder headed to New York, the Pats have to do more than consider a move of Marcus Cannon to the blind side. [Reply]
With the 33rd selection in the 2018 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado.
There was some chatter from Mel that the Browns should have considered Minkah Fitzpatrick over Vita Vea at the top of the draft, but the Brownies still get an ultra-talented, long corner that Dorsey will surely love. [Reply]

I think this is the guy Veach wants to trade up to get.
