Nzoner's Game Room>Not smoking pot
rabblerouser 06:20 PM 07-31-2018
So, for the first time in my adult life, for several reasons, I am abstaining from ingesting anything with THC.

DAY 3 :

Jittery, anxious. No coffee this morning. Stomach is..."tight."

Yogurt for breakfast.

The day seemed to drag on and on, in a painful way.

I have some real anxiety issues, and my self-control is being tested.

Anyone ever take a 'hiatus' or quit and have some...'side effects'?

I could take a benzo or a painkiller, but I'm really not a fan of either...

Trying to be normal.

Faith comes from hearing/reading the Word of God.

Catholics don't read "their" bible. They also think you need an intercessor, when the true intercessor is Christ alone.

Jesus said to them, "Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you." John 6:53

One church, one Eucharist, one Shepard, one fold. All one brother. All love.

Catholic dogma extends through the line of popes beginning with Peter. I truly can't add anymore to it than that. I can't force feed you lol. :-)

John 6:51

When Christ refers to flesh and blood, he's referring to His sacrifice of Himself for mankind.

What you refer to doesnt require eating. What Jesus is referring to does. In the Eucharist Catholics believe in the real presence of Christ. He is physically in our church. The mass is centered around recieving Christ through his sacrifice. Protestants are missing out in a way that truly grieves me. I wish they only knew. If only.

If I were to go to church for no other reason it would be to receive the Eucharist.

Peter wasn't a POPE.

He was an apostle. Now did the catholic church attempt to elevate him? Absolutely.

But they also elevate Mary. to the point where people pray to her.

No it doesn't , the verse explains that out.

That said , don't be surprised when antic christ demands people eat flesh and drink blood.

It's what Christ is referring to in Revelation about enduring for ten days.

I just looked at this thread to see if there were more folks smoking now due to the Corona or not. I hate to make light of anyone's opinion (except those who disagree with me), but to call smoking a doobie a mortal sin is a little out there. I'm a fallen away Catholic convert that was raised a Baptist, so I know all about Hellfire and damnation and smoking pot seems to be way down the list.
Here's a link to what's generally considered mortal sins for Catholics: https://www.catholicsstrivingforholi...s-should-know/
Here's some of the biggies :
masturbation-- No fapping!!
pornography-- No more hot teacher/NSFW posts.
direct sterilization-- Oops, got a lot of us that did the snip and clip.
divorce-- All you that have are going to Hell.
free unions (cohabitation, concubinage), and fornication or sexual acts before or outside of marriage-- Seems to be a biggie, so some of you best be looking at Jared's (using social distancing, of course). Sorry, scho63, no hookers.
forbids cultivating thoughts and desires connected to actions forbidden by the sixth commandment.-- Quit talking about Gracie Hunt!!
So in short, lighten up folks.

"The verse explains that out." <--- Not a response

I'm not an devil expert, bud. I'll leave that to you.

Aaaand you just went out into left field.

(If memory serves ((I'm crunched for time at the moment)) me correctly, the crowd dispersed until there was only 12. Jesus meant what he said otherwise the crowd wouldn't have dispersed. ((Know the custom of the Jews was to not drink blood amongst other things)) They thought Jesus was crazy or a liar one. That's why they left. Had Jesus said what you said, they would've stayed.)

Yes it is, it is totally explained in verse 51.

I'm not a devil expert, but your sarcasm is noted...just stating what Christ says in Revelation.

You know, the book the catholics reject.
