So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.
That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL
How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?
I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave. [Reply]

No no no.....our playmaking qb who moves around makes life so much easier for his OL. He definitely didn't drift into pressure causing a sack there. [Reply]
Look at McKinnon too. Probably could've had a TD there as well.
I'll betcha Pat would've found McKinnon for the TD if Thuney could have stoned his guy like the others on the line were doing.
Don't get me wrong... in all the key moments that mattered in that second half, Mahomes was fuckup #1, but it was possible for him to get bailed out if everybody else could execute in synch.
I also completely get that even the best linemen won't have "perfect" games and there are always a handful of plays for the best of them each game that doesn't go their way. [Reply]

Amen!
If he wants Top LT money and doesn't deserve it you just keep the tag on. What does Veach risk by doing so? Say OBJ plays lights out next season and again asks for top LT money.. whats the difference? He now wants $32M not $30M haha?
Wanna say Veach can tag him up to 3 times?
So
2022: $16.6M
2023: $16.6M + 20% of 2022 franchise tag, $19.92M
2024: $19.92M + 44% of 2023 franchise tag, $28.68M
So Basically a 3 year $65.2M fully guaranteed contract with a $21.73 yearly average.
Say he holds out..he makes zero AND I believe [Reply]

Thuney had his guy stoned.
Until Mahomes freaked out and bailed to the left giving the rusher the angle. [Reply]

Ah, good catch. My mistake.
That's even worse. I feel like Hardman's gotta be the first read on that play given his route and the coverage.

I actually still blame Mahomes for this.
Look at him drift to his left. Thuney sealed off the pass rusher from getting to the center of the pocket, where Mahomes should have been. It was Mahomes bailing from what would have been a perfectly clean pocket that caused that pressure. [Reply]
