I don't think that's ever been an argument.... the argument is taking a bad call and turning it into the refs purposefully steering games.
Refs can simply be bad at their job.... and in the case of this game, meh. Don't fumble at your 1, don't throw a bad pick, don't give up 28 points in the 2nd half.
Growing pains though... and they're fun to watch for the first time in over a decade, shit's going to happen. [Reply]

I dont think refs ever want a certain team to win the game, at least as an intentional reason for bad calls. But bias and home crowd boos often sway calls...and many times yeah refs just suck. [Reply]

Yeah, and you have coaches in their ears and players like Tom Brady who constantly cry at the refs, who in turn more likely to watch for the things he's crying about if not throwing late flags. [Reply]

Sucks they lost late but they could’ve lost late to WVU Dook and the Rust Shacks so it was probably due. KU is turning it over 2x per game and you can’t do that and put teams away. [Reply]
Sucks to lose under those circumstances, especially with a shitty no-call on the final play. But after Saturday’s games, I actually feel much better about their chances to finish strong. I think they can compete with any team in the Big 12. Don’t get me wrong though…I won’t be at all surprised if they get slapped around by Texas, Baylor or OSU. I think they’ll have a great shot to beat Oklahoma, K-State and Tech. [Reply]
