I'll be on a flight to Hawaii during Sunday's game. Is the airplane wifi high enough bandwidth to support a stream? I searched and couldn't find any reliable information about speed. [Reply]
I’ve tried but Delta wifi was horrible. Never could watch for more than 1-2 seconds with 30 seconds of buffering between. Best option I could find was to follow the text play by play on Yahoo sports. I hope your luck is better. [Reply]
When I fly Southwest, they have a free live TV option through their app. It’s always worked for me. I watched the Seahawks vs Rams game with no issues.
Streaming from a third party probably wouldn’t work as well. [Reply]
Funny.I missed most of the Bills game because I was getting a massage… in Hawaii.
You’ll live.
My Southwest wi-fi there was out. Even if up u might gets glitchy stream. Most airplan rides I just refresh espn game tracker.terrible. [Reply]
I had moderate luck with a stream for the first half. I couldn't find anything for the second half. The trick was to find a stream with a low enough bit rate. An 800k streamed sort of OK. The normal hd 4000k streams wouldn't go.
All right gang. What about a wireless hotspot? Does such a thing exist that would work during a flight? I've never messed with them but assume they probably need cell coverage.. any kind of satellite option? I'm riding as a passenger on a military plane on Sunday (time TBD, but my luck is during the game) that certainly won't have wifi. [Reply]
