Normally, I’d agree with you here. This offseason is far different, though.
Neither LDT or Long played last year, so I think Smith does have a slim chance to win the job outright in camp. I honestly think he can outplay LDT right away and Long is a complete ?...if Long is as healthy as they say he is, it’s his job to lose.
Also, there are really 4 guys that will compete for RG
Long
LDT
Blythe
Smith.
Smith is the only one that played any snaps at RG last year and is under contract past next season.

Powell is going up against Robinson, Hardman, and Pringle for snaps. We have Tajae Sharpe, Fortson, Kemp, and Dieter too but only Sharpe is likely to have a real shot at getting many snaps. It's past time for Dieter to hit the fucking bricks.
Powell is supposed to be smart and run good routes. That should help him win some reps. His size might help him take some blocking reps away from Robinson.
