We have been talking about getting a camper in a year or two, we might accelerate that a bit.the little ones loved it. Nothing too fancy almost pulled the trigger on a 29 footer last night lol.

At that point it was too late to care. And it was delicious. Now, about two or three times a year, I'll buy two or three beef tongues from the store, and she'll cook them up for all of us to eat at their place.

We had yellow watermelon for dessert, and then my buddy and I put away an embarrassing amount of craft beer.
Now there's yellow watermelons?

Don't worry, I just went and looked it up. No explainin' needed.

But what does it taste like?

The yellow watermelon? Honestly, it tastes like watermelon. I mean, it's a slightly different taste than the reds, but I wouldn't know how to describe it.

There's a town here near where I live called Sugartown. And people there grow a shit ton of watermelons, and every summer they sell them on the side of the roads here. They call them Sugartown watermelons, and they charge over double what the stores charge. I know it's all bullshit marketing, and that that calling them Sugartown melons is playing mind games on me, making me think they're any sweeter than the ones in the grocery store. But I'll be damned if I'm not stopping once a week to buy one out of the back of a pick up truck on the side of the highway. We usually alternate between red and yellow. They're fucking delicious.

Boudin over wild rice. Got to use my Bhut Jalokia salt to season.

Home made/brewed Arnold Palmer.

Nothing to look at, but delicious.

Also fabufuckinglisious it was tender juicy and flavorful but I was kind of blown away how much fabufuckinglisious the corn on the cob was. I did good. I didn't need season it or anything but I did rub some lemon on it and pow just freaking good I got to say.

It was like getting one at a fair food court.

Interesting. When I looked it up, I read they are from Africa originally.
I find that the sweetness and flavor of watermelon does vary based on how it is grown. I just finished one that was nearly flavorless. Yet the one I had near Memorial Day was sweeter and delicious.

Just bought one of these today. Considering the options out there with a charcoal/wood smoker this was easily the best priced option out there for a normal home user. Total weight of the unit is 191lbs. It was a bitch in the box let me tell you.

One of these days I will pull the trigger on a Yoder charcoal/wood offset smoker. But I can't mentally justify the $1800-2500 for one yet .

I guess I don't trust them. I am going to put smoker tape at the lids, firebox/barrel connection. May want to get a charcoal basket as well.
