I was thinking about this the other day. The rules favor quarterbacks so they're seldom hit, and the money is huge. There's no incentive for quarterbacks to retire, so they're going to keep playing until they literally can't throw at a moderate NFL level. We saw it with Manning and we're seeing it with Roethlisberger. Teams will need to start ditching their old quarterbacks or face a couple of seasons of what Pittsburgh is seeing now.
