Saw Only the Brave yesterday and was really moved by it. No joke, I damn near got misty eyed . Very well done film about fire fighters putting their lives on the line (based on a true story) .

Seconded. It was much better than I expected.

We had a screening of Thank You For Your Service last night as well as a Q&A session with SSG Schuman, the main character, and the writer/director (also wrote American Sniper). Very depressing, eye-opening movie about the profession I’m about to join. Their goal is to help open communication between civilians and veterans about the mental issues they face.

Watched American Made yesterday. I really liked it. Yeah it's a Tom Cruise movie, but imo he has lots of good movies and he played his part well. Lots of stuff I was too young to understand about the whole Iran/Contra scandal worked.

Have you watched any of Cocaine Cowboys [documentary on the Miami drug connection], or Snowfall [FX series on the rise of crack in LA]?

Finally got a chance to watch the new Spiderman movie. Holy shit was that light years better than any of the previous Spiderman movies.

Saw Only the Brave, and yeah, got a little dusty in there at the end. Heartwrenching story.

I watched Assasins Creed while I was working in the office.

Mother
of
God

That movie was total garbage. I admit I haven’t played the games but Christ other than some action (which was over the top) and special effects there was nothing redeeming about the shitfest. Normally Fassbender does his thing despite writing but I literally had no idea what they were trying to convey at any given moment with his performance. And he’s the only one that showed anything at all.

So, so bad.

Yeah I couldn't even finish Assassin's Creed lol. Turned it off after 30 minutes.

Really looking forward to Three Billboards Outside Ebbing , Missouri . Reviews have been praising it as one of the best films of the year and I really dig the director (In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths)

Dark Tower was absolute garbage. Avoid at all costs. I could make a better movie splicing cuts from Lincoln commercials and The Wire.
