You're right. They're not rebuilding. The team is complete. It would be AWESOME if this is the finished product! :-)

^said this for years^

they get the first 4 of 6 six at home.

New QB, dual rookie RB tandem... 2nd year players returning from injury (Janovich, Butt), working Sutton in with some holes in other random spots. They have declined the last few seasons and the coach is in the hot seat if they fail to surpass .500 ... yeah, it's ok to say they're rebuilding. You can't really say they're reloading with a new QB/RBduo, etc.

I believe the exact words uttered were,"After conference, the ruling on the field is a Touchdown." :-) Just happened to be the "game winner". :-)

And so, we all should be impressed because , Denver gets their "7th Home Opening "win" in a row" (Just happens they have opened at home for 7 straight years). Business as usual...:-)
Again, had he challenged without delaying ... likely is reviewed and overturned. They got the snap off in time in an effort to avoid the challenge. Teams do that all the time.

Maybe the other Broncos' fans are asking you guys to be impressed, I'm not, so I will let them handle that one.

On the Thomas thing, I would have had no issues with it being ruled OOB and feel at 2nd and 4, they likely score a TD on 2nd or 3rd down.

And you’re lucky it wasn’t 4 TD’s bc that Marshall pass interference in the end zone was a BS call. Pac-Man got smoked
Marshall can still play and yes, he did push off on that TD in the EZ. Lockett and Dissly (rookie TE) burned them on 3-4 big plays - no question about that. Question is, do we ever hear of Dissly again? I dunno - huge dude that can obviously catch and run well. Denver's defense has had all sorts of issues with TEs.

90 of those yards came from two missed tackles on back to back plays. And another 50 yards came from a blown coverage. The defense wasn't bad on a down in and down out basis. Besides those three plays they looked really good.

Still... those were 3 big issues and it happened last year as well. This is not the 2015 Broncos' defense and it's ok to admit that. Overall, yes they controlled the game for the most part, aside from 3-4 big plays and another 2 penalties that kept drives alive.

Quick note on week 1... while OAK hasn't played yet, it would require a big upset for them to change my mind, but I still believe they're destined for 4th in the division.

The AFCW is KC's to lose - they're going to be too consistently strong on offense (barring injury) for SD, DEN or OAK to think they will wrestle away the division.

Denver looked decent in their win and SD put up a lot of points, but mostly in garbage time. Rivers, Gordon and Allen will create issues for many teams - but just as years past, they struggle too much early and rely on the rally.

KC kicked things into gear on the first play with a huge score... Tyreek Hill is the straw that stirs the offensive drink in KC. Yes, Mahomes was rock solid, but that offense cannot lose Hill. Hunt, Kelce, Watkins, etc - there are a lot of playmakers, but Hill is a dynamic that few teams can contend with successfully.

Question is - does he blow up early and then go into the tank for a stretch like he did last season? I wouldn't bet on it (and I hope he doesn't because he's my #2 fantasy WR :-) )

Almost onto week 2.

But I think that's the great thing about KC's offense. If you scheme to take away Hill there are 3 other weapons around Mahomes that can takeover any game.

The initial ruling on the TD was out of bounds...which was made by the official closest to the play. NFL has put an emphasis on not overturning the refs with reviews this year...which is bizarre. When the 2nd ref changed the call...it essentially sealed the deal.

I dont think Denver would have even challenged that he was in bounds if the initial call stayed incomplete.

There is no guarantee the Donks score a TD if that play was called correctly...holding, turn overs, goal line stands happen all the time in the red zone.

I'm trying to think if KC has ever had a game winning TD awarded to them on a controversial call...I cant remember it happening.

Totally true... I just view Hill as being a special kind of badass that really changes the dynamic.

Donk fans try to rationalize their early advantage as "we play on the road later"...but those games arent affected by thin air and early conditioning.

KC has to play not only one...but two road openers this year...next week is Steelers home opener.

KC gets NE/Pittsburgh/SD on the road (2017/2018)...all home openers. Donks get 4 home games..

What could have been... who knows? Again, it was 1st and goal at the 4.

Play the odds and the way the backs were running, they very likely score a TD on 2nd, 3rd or 4th down if they go for it there.

And, there were 11 minutes left in the game - yes, it was the 'go ahead game winning score', but there were 11 minutes left - one could read your comment as if it's suggesting it were in the final minute.

I didn't think it was a TD and as you stated, the initial ref was overruled and then the replay confirmed the call. I also doubt DEN would have challenged it if he had been ruled out. Again, they moved the ball pretty well against SEA and likely (not guaranteed) would have scored on 2nd, 3rd or 4th down if they decided to go for it.

Well, lucky for you that KC went to SD - a team that historically struggles early, home or away. And now, you travel to PIT without Bell and they're coming off a road OT tie in Cleveland.

Chiefs close out the season with 3 of their final 4 games in KC in December - that's a huge advantage. And, I'm willing to bet that most of you would not change that if given the chance. Honestly, tell me you would rather be on the road in December?

Denver plays 5 games in December, 3 on the road ... I know that I would much rather have teams in Denver in December.

Are you trying to sell me on that the early thin air/home games really sucks? You went 3-1...then ended 5-11.

It actually worked against them last year...as they might have been picking #2 and landed a future franchise QB.

With a young qb? Yes.

But Mahomes is a different breed
