Nzoner's Game Room>50 Beers to Try Before You Die
NewChief 06:18 AM 04-24-2010
Thought the beer snobs here might like this article (and probably critique the hell out of it).

(CBS) You've heard of "100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall"?

How about 50 to try before you die?!
Spoiler!

They’re a very mature brand by craft beer standards, partnered with a mature Euro brand, in a Midwest market so it’s to be expected, but man, I’m mid-40s and that looks like my dads pastry stout line.

How is it? Surly will always have a soft spot in my heart, as they really pioneered the craft beer scene in MN when I was living there, and some of my favorite memories were at Darkness Day with good friends.

Interesting I will look for it.

It's really good! Just straight up maple syrup, really.

It's not thicccc, but a very enjoyable stout. Think I've had their Darkness maybe once and it was 'good'... might still have one around.

Had this "sour Smoothie IPA" this weekend. Holy shit its as thick as it looks, not really sour and tasted like juice. About 1/2 of one is all you need.

So sad I missed their (at the time) latest stout release by like 48 hours, their other beers were fantastic.

I have a TG Fresh Batch S'mores in the queue though.

Chocolate churro sounds amazing, cheers! :-)

Seriously. :-)

It looks like a "ALL THE PULP" orange juice containers (well, maybe more tangerine-ish).

All of it.

Funky can, but a tasty double IPA with a real punch of citra hops.

This is one of a plethora offerings from Bearded Iris. This is the first beer of theirs that I have tried, but I will keep my eye out for this brewer going forward.

Another brewery who thinks they can slap "pastry stout" on a beer and that makes it a pastry stout (of course, had low expectations at 8.5%).

Not bad though, definitely get the strawberry.

Revolution's Deth's Tar got the stovepipe treatment for 2021. Super boozy this year.

Something new, Nightmare Brewing... heavy, thick, not quite there taste-wise for a $30 four pack (fortunately only bought one can).

Chuckled at the can though, one of those great designs where I was searching a minute to figure out who the hell makes the beer, as it was an afterthought in fine print at the bottom.

I met KCU in Chicago about 6 weeks ago!

Before that... OTWP for some beer and bourbon.

Before that... would probably have to go back to the 2018 AFCCG tailgate (as I didn't find the 2019 tailgate).
