Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs signing Melvin Gordon
Dante84 03:17 PM 11-28-2022

Two-time Pro Bowl RB Melvin Gordon is expected to sign with the #Chiefs practice squad, per source.

Released by Denver last week, Gordon should be active soon. Another weapon for the stretch run. pic.twitter.com/LBZ7cK2utG

Every Melvin Gordon fumble as a member of the Denver Broncos

Did Gordon fumble like this when he was with the chargers or is this a recent phenomenon?

Goal line & short yardage RB!

Burt wasn’t happy with the red zone offense yesterday.

It's a ridiculous comparison. Kelce has zero fumbles in 2022. Had 5 total fumbles the previous 6 years. PB must have some kind of jealous man-hate for Travis.

Now do the last 4 years.

Never mind, I'll do it for you.

Gordon - Once every 49.8 touches (797 touches, 16 fumbles)
Kelce - Once every 124 touches (372 touches, 3 fumbles)

Now, what was your point in posting that?

According to PFR, he has 26 career fumbles. 11 of them happened in either his rookie season or this year.

Over the 6 years in between, he averaged 2.5 fumbles a season while averaging 11 total TD's.

Glad Gordon is not being signed to the 53 right away and hopefully he’s never activated to be part of the rotation and is insurance they hopefully won’t need. I’d much rather have Derrick Gore back on the PS. He’s healthy and spent a few weeks on the saints ps before being released last week

Pro Football Reference shows 11 fumbles in his career.

Apparently NFL.com sucks. 5 didn't sound like enough, but c'mon, NFL.

Melvin Gordon’s fumbles over the years and his ranks among RBs:
2022: 4 (worst)
2021: 3 (T8th-worst)
2020: 4 (T3rd-worst)
2019: 4 (T3rd-worst)

3 different staffs. 2 different teams.

It’s on Melvin.

I was calling out the previous 6 years. So basically Kelce had 6 fumbles in his first 2 years as a starter (2014-2015). Since then he's had 5 fumbles over a 7 year timespan including this one (2016-2022). Bringing it up as if he has some kind of problem here is just stupid.

This is one of those posts where numbers can make you look stupid without context.

Kelce had some fumbling issues at the beg. of his career. Since then, it has not been an issue.

Gordon on the other hand also had fumbling issues at the beg. of his career that has seemed to resume as he has aged.

Kelce has averaged one fumble per year for the last 4 years. I'll take the one fumble and the HOF numbers every year.

One guy is trending in a HOF direction. The other is . . . . . . . . .

One of the most underrated backs in the league. He'll be great in an Andy Reid offense.

Don't search any of my other posts containing his name. I was joking.
