Wilson is several years younger than Rodgers with much less baggage. I'd rather have Rodgers for a season or two but Denver probably thinks Wilson can play into his late 30's.
That said, I wouldn't mortgage my future just to make the playoffs or win the division. [Reply]

And over the 2nd half of that season he averaged barely more than 200 YPG on a 24/10 TD/INT pace and threw for 6.4 yards/attempt. Then played an absolutely miserable game against the Rams in the post-season.

Lock isn't going to even be a factor when this is all said an done.
I'm sure they gave up quite a bit more than what Washington was offering. It's going to be 2 firsts, 3 firsts, and/or some combination of decent players IN ADDITION to Lock. [Reply]

Much less baggage? Wilson trade rumors have been going on longer than the Rodgers ones have. [Reply]

I hope they completely fucked their future for this deal and it sounds like they did. [Reply]

Correct.
Let's not act like its coincidence that the trigger got pulled here within a half hour of the Rodgers news.
The Broncos made it clear which player they preferred. [Reply]
