Like I said, it would have been a weak ending to a series that started out very well, but I wouldn't have been so vehemently disappointed if they'd have left the last 20 seconds of the finale off. What a bunch of bullshit.
I would have loved the lumberjack ending if he unhooked the chain and the pile of logs rolled off and crushed him to death deus ex machina style! [Reply]
Just finished it... hated it. Not Shield awful, but pretty awful nonetheless. Oh well. Another good series that went out with a self-inflicted wound to the face. [Reply]

Fuck. Why did you have to remind me about the fucking piss-poor ending to the Shield?
I'm still pissed about the "family meeting". [Reply]

I've followed him for a long time, I dig his videos. [Reply]
So I am feeling bad for blaming the writers for this debacle. Turns out their hands were pretty tied by the network:

People have a relationship with Dexter, even if it doesn’t have the size and the ferocity of the fan base for Breaking Bad. But it has a very core loyal following.”
Also from that article, it makes it sound like SHO execs have their hand in every show on their network, crippling the creative process. It makes me less likely to jump into a Showtime series. *cough* ray donovan *cough*
