Like I said, it would have been a weak ending to a series that started out very well, but I wouldn't have been so vehemently disappointed if they'd have left the last 20 seconds of the finale off. What a bunch of bullshit.

I would have loved the lumberjack ending if he unhooked the chain and the pile of logs rolled off and crushed him to death deus ex machina style!

Just finished it... hated it. Not Shield awful, but pretty awful nonetheless. Oh well. Another good series that went out with a self-inflicted wound to the face.

Jeremy Jahns is an excellent youtube reviewer and pretty much nailed, not only the last season of Dexter but the entire series.

yeah, the only decent fan endings i read had Dexter dying.

the only one that would come close to what SHO exec's wanted would be Dexter dying but becoming the "Harry" for his protege.

Also from that article, it makes it sound like SHO execs have their hand in every show on their network, crippling the creative process. It makes me less likely to jump into a Showtime series. *cough* ray donovan *cough*
