It doesn't matter whether it's Bengals fans, the media, other NFL fans, etc. the crying over the Chiefs/Bengals game is like nothing I've ever seen before.
There wasn't some super obvious bad call/non-call either like the Saints/Rams that one year.
Is it because it's the Chiefs? Are we really in everybody's heads to the point that they're losing their fucking minds?

Bengals fans must have finally moved on the next stage of grief.
I haven't seen the Bangles fans move into the fan grief stage where they want everyone fired because they are convinced the staff and the FO who got them where they are can't take them over the hump.
The Bills fans are at a later stage, this being the third year of failure for a team they considered to be a title contender.
The Bangles fans are a year behind them. Last year was "So cool just to be here", this year was "Well that sucks", next year would be "fire everyone and get someone in who can win the big one" [Reply]

Oh, they're contenders, problem is they have the NFL equivalent of Mike Tyson, Muhammed Ali, and Sugar Ray Leonard - all rolled into one - standing in their way. :-) [Reply]

Without all those injuries and the fluke fumble we win that game easily, even with a hobbled Mahomes. They were super lucky to still be in it at the end. [Reply]

Many wanted to fire Zac Taylor earlier in the year because they were on a losing streak. [Reply]

Plenty of dirty looks.
The Chiefs have quickly become the Patriots or Bama. People just don't like that much sustained success unless of course it's their own team. Overall people are just kind of buttholes. [Reply]

Today was actually the first day I've seen what you've been describing.
Mahomes SB jersey ad on social media. Clicked the comments hoping to get some insights into the quality of the jerseys from this site, nope, nothing but rigged talk and wishes for injury. [Reply]
