Not much in the way of details yet, but it's under development. It's a pretty long series of books, not just a trilogy of games. Don't even know if it's going to be Geralt or someone new in the universe. Whatever it is, something tells me we'll see it sometime in 2018 or early 2019. [Reply]

It's a large focus of one of the books. Geralt is not the only character in the series. I actually really enjoyed Ciri traing at Kaer Morhen with other Witchers. It provides more background to Geralt's history than any other storyline. [Reply]

A bit of technical criticism, not regarding acting or quality of narrative.
It gets a bit tough to catch everything when the character you task with a lot of exposition is a new character who speaks in whispers and grunts AND has tusks masking his mouth movement.

I'd recommend captions for that bit.
I’ve watched shows and movies with captions now for years. It makes it so I can know exactly what they’re saying.

Or it’s because I’m getting older.
Yeah, I think even captioning is getting in on the overall narrative game, or at least the creators are collaborating on complex narratives. Often, even if main characters are speaking clearly, you find out with captioning that crucial little tidbits are being said by people in crowds or offscreen, that you would never catch even with perfect hearing and total attention.
So if I am watching a complex and nuanced show, like say Succession, I default to captions even if I know I'm following most of it and can hear and register most of the central narrative clearly. [Reply]
After watching the first episode I had to go google how old the girl playing Ciri was... I was like... I think they just about showed us her boobs there...ok... she is 20.... carry on. [Reply]
