The idea is that this is potentially Veach’s guy, and when he locks in on a target, he’s going to be tough to outbid.

I don’t think the Rams would be in after using a good chunk of that for Robinson.

Juju turned down $8 million last year and then played in 5 games. I highly doubt his market just jumped by 50%.

How could you be in on Smith, Jones, Miller etc. but not Hunter, when all of those guys are older and had recent significant injuries?
Oh if he’s cut they’ll be in on him.

Or if they could get him for a 4 next year or something equally cheap I think they’ll do it just to control his rights. At that point they could pull a few restructure levers by Sunday.

But I don’t think the Vikings are getting what they’re asking right now. The market for him is much smaller than one might expect.

I mean if you can get him for a 3rd next year....fuck it. But I don't think they're going to just give him away.

Sure.

And the market for a Ferrari is about $500k. I could maybe afford one if I sold my house and lived in it.

Guess I’ll just have to make due with my Ram.

The market doesn’t matter when you have a cap and FAR more pressing needs.

The Cowboys cut La’el Collins and let Amari Cooper for for an asswipe return.

When teams are over a barrel with the cap and a player is gonna crater it, they lose all their leverage.

He’s not going to get a meaningful return unless some team gets a negotiating window and he agrees to a sweetheart extension.

True. Hope he’s healthy if Veach pulls the trigger then.

Hell yes. The quality is tremendous. Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled speculation.

Some rumor bullshit floating around on Twitter is that the Vikings are in on Smith. That could mean that they’re out on Hunter.

I highly doubt the neck injury doesn’t linger the rest of his career and a pec injury for a DE can be absolutely devastating.

I’m not terribly interested in Hunter for anything substantial.
