It all starts with the new driver on this newly polished Lamborghini and its reworked defense...
Let's follow them thru training camp, the cuts, the bruises, the highs, the lows, all the way to what will finally snap Kansas City's longest losing streak...
(Yes, I said it.. fuck it... we have waited long enough. Even if the season ends in disappointment, we are not Cleveland of yesteryear. I have faith :-) )
Step 6: Just a little short. A lot of points left on the field this game, and that says a lot when combined was 83 points. Imagine this, even with the score, the chiefs covered the spread :-)
So far KC has amassed 6 weekly/monthly awards, and it's just on the other side of the half way mark.
I do not expect Pat to break any NFL touchdown or passing records, as Andy will need to rely more on the running game down the stretch. I could see though, Kareem actually vying for the rushing/td title before the playoffs hit. The wall he hit in the middle of the year last year, is proof they are saving him.
same for eric berry. i could be wrong, but there will be at some point after the season, where andy says... yeah, he was good to go from week 3, but we were winning so well, we thought, lets wait. i mean, it was an achilles, not an ankle:-):-)
^ Mahomes will break at least 2 records this weekend. Chiefs TD passing record, which has stood for 54 years and the Fastest QB to 30 TD's in a career. [Reply]

i mis-spoke, i meant nfl season stats. how could you not break all time stats as a chief :-).
Sitting at 9-1 with the Rams and Saints (8-1), Rams next week (Pat will have the game of his short career to honour his girlfriend in her period of mourning).
Funny thing happened this week... after looking for work for the last three months, i have landed a fairly legit job which means...
no more live chiefs football this season unless they let me off for the super bowl. next year though i will use my four weeks annual leave for all monday/tuesday/friday games in the future. :-)
so i will keep this thread going, i just won't be able to experience this thrill ride with you live (or at least a 40 second stream delay :-))...
if you had asked me during training camp how far kc would go... i secretly thought 'maybe?'!
totally possible now...
bring a title to kc for lenny, for real yo! :-) [Reply]

I won't pretend to have seen the whole game. I had to work. I did see the first half and tried to sneak updates, but ultimately I waited till my lunch break to see we won.
Seen the highlights tho, plus perused the board a bit.
I have put my new job on notice (again :-) ) that if my team makes it to the dance. I am sick that day. :-)
All I want for Christmas is a defense that can step up... this is truly the professional version of the TT teams Pat played on....
I still have hope... then again I don't immerse myself in the season as you all do...
Homer hope still alive, but it's getting shaky :-)
Spoiler!
With all the injuries offensively, and hunt's release, is it any wonder they have struggled. But...I look at these last three games as an in season preseason set of games to get acquainted with each other.
I really think if most if not all players are back, and semi healthy, this team makes a deep run in spite of their defense, but one off game... throat cut time
