Not sure, was thinking the same thing myself. Matheny likes to stretch out his veterans.
Probably should have closed the book on him at 6. Was almost at 100 pitches and 3rd time through the lineup. Duffy gets less effective the more guys see him. [Reply]

It's a 10 run game and he's at 97 pitches. You gain nothing sending him back out. Unless his mental hurdle is 7 innings over 6.
