Thanks!

He doesn't seem willing to do that at this stage, although he's telling people to stay home.

Nobody will listen.

In fact, our county just put a mask order in place for all businesses, but it put the onus on the business for the enforcement. The BUSINESSES will get fined if people don't wear masks, not the people. It's kind of a copout.

That might have something to do with the present situation.

Well of course.

Things were cautious for about 2 weeks, then it all went back to normal.

In JOCO KS, I would say mask wearing is probably down to about 20% of people at this point?

Fucking boggles my mind.

That can be effective, bars don't serve minors because they risk a fine for doing so.

One of the people were infected even while trying to distance outside. 3 of the 18 are now in the hospital.

Sure hope the businesses don’t have to call the police to remove someone who is not complying. Oh wait........

It's horrifying listening to our "local leaders" talk about this in St. Joe. None of them have any answers or information. The only guy who seems to have any semblance of knowledge is a professor who is putting together graphs that show our 7 and 14 day rolling averages. Another City Council member chimes in they've "read a news article" that things could get bad in September so we need to do more mass testing right now!! Our Mayor at least seems to have some inside information of the hospitalization numbers so he shares those.

We have 9 people in the hospital, currently. We've seen a slight up-tick in our 7 day average. (We've gone from like 3-4 people to 5-7 people per day)

Now they move onto more important issues such as the sale of the old firehouse building.

That's because it's pretty irrelevant at this point. Life is about 95% normal and taking steps back just isn't an option on thr table That's why this thread is strange to me....Just people clinging to their mask and social distancing.

I saw the words "apocalyptic scenario" used on a main stream media website today to describe what is going on in Texas. Maybe I'm a sheeple, and that's fine - but that phrasing is kind of terrifying.

Different parts of the country are dealing with different scenarios with COVID.

I’d feel pretty good about your area.
