Nzoner's Game Room>Orlando Brown Projected Contract 6 year $145 mil
dlphg9 08:17 PM 03-28-2022
So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.

That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL

How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?

I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave.

Did he not just sign with the Bears for 55 mil guaranteed?

Yup and it's all on tape. What were McKonnins numbers in the SB?. He had a lot of chip blocks though.

There almost has to be more at the end that wasn’t in the Tweet. Can’t imagine him being dumb enough to say just that.

So the 6 year, $145 million projection isn't happening, not here, not anywhere. Will he end up getting even Jawaan Taylor numbers?

He could still get a really good bag. Still plenty of teams in need of OT help with cap space. He and his agent need to pull their heads out of their asses and get back to reality quickly, though, to make it happen.

When will players learn that just because you think agents do do enough for their clients, remember every player ever that tried negotiating without 1.

OBJ might have cost himself 40-50 million dollars not hiring a legit agent.

Totally taken out of context in my view. Watch the video.

People are so desperate to hate on a guy that's trying to do the best for himself. It's like people are still so upset that he missed the first 3 days of training camp this past year and can never forgive him.

I think it's more due to the fact that he demands to be paid like an elite LT despite not being one.

One might call it "trying to do the best for himself" while another might call it "being unreasonable."

now that's a guy I do hope we bring back. His blocking was superb and you can tell it rubbed off on Pacheco too towards the end of the season. Plus he was really on the same page as Mahomes

When Spears mentioned Patrick's ankle sprain, Brown pivoted by not admitting it was his fault that Arden Key cheapshotted Mahomes
