If you’re looking for somebody to lock down the opposing team’s best player, I’m going with Garrett.

Releford is the guy I'm surprised isn't higher on the DBPM list. I remember him just making dudes vanish.

Releford was long enough, and seems to my memory to be quicker and definitely stronger.

McCullar got abused that 2H vs Arky freshman including the last foul that lost it

Do you have Kev's stats for his previous year at Tech?

That was more of a rugby-like foul fest than a basketball game (by Arkansas' design). Hard to take much of anything from it.

And a foul fest where they were calling ridiculous fouls on our guys on little to no contact and letting a ton of contact go at other times.

Correct, a ridiculous number of fouls.

Not sure what this establishes other than that there was a ridiculous number of fouls called on both teams (which greatly favored Arkansas considering our lack of depth) and that the refs tried to even the calls up as usual (which again greatly favored Arkansas considering they are the far more physical and foul prone team).

Right, a foul fest that a decent team of officials cleans up early, instead it was a random and stupid display of shitty officiating.

Twice before the #Jayhawks have BEGUN the season with two 1,000 point scorers on the team.

'03 Collison (1,395) & Hinrich (1,112)
'05 Langford (1,408) & Simien (1,065)

'23-'24 will be the first time #KUbball enters w/ THREE 1,000 point scorers (Dickinson, Timberlake & McCullar)
