BREAKING: Meat Loaf, the rock superstar loved by millions for his “Bat Out of Hell” album and for such theatrical, dark-hearted anthems as “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” and “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad,” has died, his family says on Facebook. https://t.co/WWbxgFgfQL
Love Bat out of Hell. Not a bad track on it. In the early 2000's he was touring smaller venues throughout the country, and I always was going to go and never did, truly regret it.
Damn one of my all time favorites! Many fond memories of his music in my life. The first time I saw the video of his performance of Paradise by the Dashboard Lights was at Capers Corners on Mission Rd. and thought that was the coolest video.
You will be missed Meat! Jim Steinman who was very instrumental in Meat Loafs career passed away this past year IIRC. [Reply]
Damn. This one hurts. My dad had a very limited music selection, but one of my first memories was seeing the cover to his bat out of hell CD growing up. The sounds that followed turned me into a fan of rock and roll. One of the best voices of all time! RIP Meatloaf! [Reply]
That's too bad. To be honest, though, I'm actually surprised he made it this far. I remember thinking in the 70s that he was so big and performed so hard, that I didn't expect him to make it 20 years.
At least he's finally free from that girl. [Reply]
