Nzoner's Game Room>What's your opinion of Dairy Queen?
Stewie 06:49 PM 01-20-2022
Good for shakes and ice cream back in the day. Haven't been to one in ages.

I received a mailer today that there's a new store not far from me. Incredibly cheap deals on burgers, chicken, sides and desserts.

I know it's introductory stuff, but might be worth a try. I used to love their strawberry shakes.

It's ice cream. Really hard to fuck that up.

Love their ice-cream cakes. Haven't been to one in years though.

Down here they are all full service restaurants. Their burgers are delish when fresh.

I’m a huge fan of the Chocolate Dipped Cone.

I have fond memories of driving to the DQ on Sunday evening’s in the Summer when my boys were little. We rarely would miss a Sunday. Good times…

Haven’t been in probably four or five years. The regular food always seemed subpar, even for fast food.

Reminds me of any Sunday night in the mid 80's. Nothing like getting a dipped cone and going home to watch a little Don Johnson and Miami Vice on the TV.

It's a franchise operation so it really depends on the management whether the food will be good or not just like every other food franchise operation.

As an example, one of the deals is a double cheeseburger with fries for $2.29.

DQ has always been about the location the only consistency is the ice cream treats. The DQ in NKC by the bowling alley was always good till covid and it's completely gone to shit the Burgers and chili dogs.

Beat me to it. It all depends on the franchise owner.

The local DQs haven't left me down. The Flamethrower Burger is fire.

Dairy Queen over the past decade has made an emphasis to become a player in the burger battles. The old style summer only stand is quickly becoming a dinosaur in their business model.

The only food I ever had at DQ is the chicken finger basket, they used to be pretty good.

I've never been a huge fan of their food, but the ice cream stuff is pretty good. If a store still carries it, a Mr. Misty Freeze is top-notch, and a regular Mr. Misty is great to nurse on for an hour or so on long car trips.
