Kyle Slotter...that's like people who thought Tyler Thigpen was the future. I guarantee every team has fans that think some UDFA third stringer is gonna be the fuckin man.

His stat line could have been better if it weren’t for two drops, but he averaged 8.9 yards per attempt when under pressure and had an impressive 102.8 passer rating when blitzed.

Not really... I don't know of any that believe Sloter is better. The Lynch pick is a bust, so however they plan to move on, so be it. It didn't cost them much to take the gamble. Trevor is a bargain for the pick, paint it however you like... they lucked out with him or whatever. Fact is, they drafted him and have allowed him to win the job twice now... this year, after revamping everything to cater to Lynch. All of that and Trevor still prevailed.

I get that he's not a name and it's not a glamorous pick, but I don't care. We're on to the regular season now. Broncos fans know what we have and I (for one) am fine with however it ends up, I don't think they fall under .500 barring injury. I still believe they're a 9-10 win team... no playoffs.

Meanwhile, you guys are pimping the 2018 world with your new QB and are going to bite your lips and grunt into the pillow as Alex goes in dry in his final hurrah as the QB in KC. Or... and it's already started, you'll experience a weekly living hell with cries of 'start the rookie' as KC continues to do what they do with Alex. Scratch the surface of greatness in spite of Alex and hope all the other parts pull their weight, in conjunction to injuries to teams in your path helping you out along the way.

I don't see the 2017 season ending in glorious fashion for either of our teams, if the end goal is playoff success and titles. And, when that happens for KC - you're now focused on giving the new kid time to grow and if he has little chance to do that in 2017, 2018 is a transition year and your new view to greatness is on 2019. If Denver fails and Trevor is as bad as many of you proclaim, Denver moves on and tries to land someone like Cousins. If Denver improves and Trevor plays well, then 2018 looks brighter.

Either way... keeping the rookie on the bench gives KC fans home for 2019. Denver plays this right and Trevor continues to improve, they're playing for greatness in 2018.

So, we'll see what happens... :-)

Has Sloter looked good against anyone that won't be selling insurance next week?

Dunno... do you have a list of those destined to sell insurance?

So...KC doesn't have a chance with Mahomes until 2019 BUT the Donkos are headed for "greatness" in 2018 if Semenboy improves. :-)

Donko logic at it's finest...you're already seeing the Manning era FAs starting to leave...Ware now Ward. Talib will be gone next year...

Hate to break it you...but what you've seen from Semen is what you're going to get.

Simply stated from the perspective that if Trevor improves in 2017... that's a very positive thing and should that happen, he's obviously earned his spot as "the guy" going forward. Entering 2018 would be his 3rd year as the starter in that scenario... so yeah, I'd give Denver the advantage there if KC keeps the rookie on the bench this year and uses 2018 as his debut. Fairly simple rationale.

He "earned" his spot by default....and it took 3 preseason games for them to decide. It was more about how terrible Lynch was than how good Semen looked.

By your rationale...he should have made that so-called "jump" this year. He's started an entire season already...and he looked exactly the same.

Your face when your division rival is set to dominate your team for a decade or two and you got trolled into spending 5 picks on scrubs and your best QB is an undrafted FA:

That's one way to spin it. Again, I've agreed that they did all they could with the new staff to give Lynch the easy path to success. Lynch failed.

Trevor didn't win it by default, he retained his position. And, if by exactly the same means he will be in the 3700 yard range with a TD/INT ratio of 25/14... I'm good with that. Trevor needed to complete about 1.4 more passes a game last year to have a completion rate in the 65% range. Not terrible by any definition.

So, however you spin it... I think they're in a good spot, despite Lynch flaming out. They lost very little in that investment.
