Gotta second this. Busch was a fantastic experience the only time I've been and the immediate surrounding area (Ballpark Village?) is super nice. [Reply]

Yep. Love Busch Stadium, it's the reason why I want a downtown stadium for the Royals. [Reply]

Doesn't really matter what anyone thinks. People will come or they won't regardless of what any of you think. And it's possible that people aren't "scared" so much as they're pissed and they won't celebrate/support or look away from regresssive policies. Low trust society begets low trust results. [Reply]
Petco Park in San Diego is downtown and it's pretty awesome. Tropicana Field is next to downtown St Pete but there's a ton of bars and restaurants across the street. [Reply]

Petco is in the Gas Lamp district of SD. Several blocks away from downtown and much nicer. [Reply]

Just wait 20 years until all of the hardcore baseball fans are dead and the Royals are on year 27 of under .500 baseball. The place will be HOPPING [Reply]

Just in time to start talking about a new stadium. [Reply]

They seem to be on a 30 year championship cycle, so 20 years from now they should be in pretty good shape.
A lot of us won't be here to see it, though. Maybe we should merge this with the young thread. [Reply]

Bro, there's a chance even you could swing a date with a chick if the stadium was downtown! [Reply]
