Trade: #Vikings are trading former first-round CB Mike Hughes to the #Chiefs*, per @AdamSchefter. Secondary help as he enters a contract year.

Chiefs and Vikings swapped late-round draft picks, with Kansas City also getting back Minnesota’s 2018 first-round pick, per source. https://t.co/EiWiQFgAQS

Very talented, twitchy player.

Can play anywhere and zone/man.

Cheap because he's been injured.

Great pickup.

If Breeland's topline price is $3 million, he would have been signed by now.

At age 29 and coming off of a 4 games suspension last year, I'll be very surprised if he gets more than Vet Minimum.

He's battled injuries, but a former first rounder who's only 24 is always worth a gamble

Didn't give up much of anything to get him either, this is why... We Trust In Veach

If Jason Verrett can play a full season, anything can happen :-)

I don't, though.

Another low risk, high reward move from Veach. Absolutely love his style.

So we traded the last pick (not counting comp picks) in the 6th for a top 5 pick in the 7th to get a former 1st rounder.

Breelands 30 now at that age a CB can fall off the map so it makes sense to get younger.

What’s the plan at DE then if Clark or Charlton miss any time?

A rookie? Tim Ward?

No way.

Ok I'm a year early. It's either his age or they'd still like to bring him back and let some of these other dudes battle it out like Keyes, Baker, Hughes etc.

Tim Ward is physically a prototypical Spags end, they probably do like him.

But is he ready for meaningful snaps? I guess you don’t know til you try, but we don’t have much reason to believe so.
