Same here, although I haven't seen either one of them on TV in forever. Both of them had very original stories, had likeable stars, and were well made.
Tron was kind of the Matrix before there was a Matrix.
One of my buddies was an usher at the local theater, and gave me the official Tron poster after it's run ended. I'm sure I still have it somewhere. I should probably get it framed. [Reply]

The movie itself is 'okay' and gets some stuff wrong, but Depp's transformation into Whitey Bulger was impressive.
I also thought Daniel Day Lewis as Lincoln was (can't believe I'm going to write this...) sublime. Well, I'm impressed by anything he does, really. Might be the greatest living actor, IMO.
