rap/hip hop has been the dominant form of popular music for over 20 years at this point. Rock has virtually disappeared from the mainstream charts, and both pop and country now incorporate so much of hip hop's technique.
Like that crappy Applebee's song is the biggest country song of the summer, and one of the biggest songs in general of the summer, and it apes it's entire sound(and vernacular like "bougee") from hip hop. And remember all that awful bro country Florida-Georgia Line/Luke Bryan/Blake Shelton/Jason Aldean etc garbage about ten years ago that was everywhere? All that shit was like half hip hop.

There is a link to that article with those listings. Yes, it is a couple of years old.
Here is another one with a slightly different list.

No sir you are nit-picking. I said it is listed as either R&B or Hip Hop. The reality is that it is a sub-set in that category. Also, it still puts it outside of the most popular. [Reply]

Look at the first post. That had a different list. I already laid out that it can be listed in multiple genres. [Reply]

I don't really listen to much new music, well willingly, and I still know rap/hip hop is and has been huge for a long time. Was in high school when 2001 came out, was an absolutely massive album. [Reply]
It’s a good thing that you’re tied down to only one genre for your entire life. It’s not like people like pop and hip hop. Or rock and hip hop. Nope….that never happens. [Reply]
