He spent most of his time in Tampa creating cliques and when he wasn't publicly chastising players, he was cutting them down behind their backs in private.

Bringing Gruden into the Faiders franchise is similar to hiring Stonewall Jackson to supervise the crazy farm. I'll bet DJ thinks he's in a fever dream by now.
Carr has a bit of lazy footwork. Seems to be like a combo of Jay Cutler and someone like Randall Cunningham in the way he throws the ball. Opposite of Brady. [Reply]

He threw Carr under the bus with his facial expressions during the game. I've never seen anything like it before.
It was after that play where Derek threw the ball away in a clean pocket. They panned to Gruden and he was shaking his head in disgust. Like....daaaaaaamn. [Reply]

That game will be tough. The Rams don't have anything at edge rusher, so that will help. But can our interior OL hold up against Donald and Suh? The pocket will collapse quickly and Mahomes will be trying to complete passes against Peters and Talib. I'll take a game against Suh and Donald over the matchup with the Broncos defense.
Suh and Donald can make things uncomfortable for a quarterback; shoving pockets back and giving him no room to operate. They really can make it very difficult to operate effectively.
Von Miller/Bradley Chubb can get the kid hurt. Bosa/Ingram is similarly intimidating.
A large man pushing through three people and falling on our QB is one thing. A remarkably fast man blasting around one person and driving through our quarterback is another thing entirely.
The disruption to your offense as a general rule is probably greater with the former but the latter can yield that one play that ruins your season. [Reply]
Simms was asked about how it was like to be under Gruden's coaching just now on ProFootball Talk. He opens up on how Gruden feels that the QB is accountable and responsible for all mistakes.
An example is when a center missed the handle off the ball and sent it between Simms' legs which resulted in Simms being thrown out of the play. Simms yelled at Gruden "What the fuck!?".
Another story Simms tells is when he was next door in a staff meeting and Gruden was trashing Simms. The walls were paper thin and he could hear Gruden say "If our QB only threw it here or if he wasn't so stupid..etc".
Simms would then see Gruden after the meeting in the hallway with a tense moment with Gruden knowing that Simms heard him but Gruden not caring.
Simms seemed very emotional during the segment, even with Florio trying to lighten things up. [Reply]
