Last thread has well over 10,000 replies. Its body is breaking down like The Undertaker's. Seeing as we might have crossed the threshold into a new era in the business, here's a fresh new thread.

I went to a Raw show a 3-4 yrs ago at Sprint Center because I got free tickets from my work to go sit in the company suite. The top section of the Sprint Center was tarped/blacked off, lots of empty seats in lower levels. I was shocked.

There was zero electricity in the arena. Nobody was into it..the matches seemed dull as fuck. If it wasn't for me sitting in a suite w/ my work drinking free beer eating free food, I would have left early.

Back in the late 90s, ticketmaster outlets used to be lined out the door if WWF/WCW came to town and arenas would be filled to the max, everyone had signs, everyone was into it. Place used to pop when that glass shattered or you heard a IF YA SMELLL....etc.

Man...that guy :-)
I've become a big fan of the Bruce Prichard podcast. Whenever I hear of Cornette now, I think immediately of Bruce imitating him: *in a high pitched whiney voice* "He's a heel motherfucker!" and "Double meat, double cheese, double mayo, double onion.....motherfucker"

This is a huge problem with WWE. It's something that AEW will hopefully do differently by letting the workers define the characters within reason.

If you want to get more of an idea about AEW, they are doing short videos called Road to Double or Nothing on Youtube that go behind the scenes of the early days of the company. Also the Being the Elite weekly Youtube show also covers what could end up being angles in AEW.

AEW will hopefully go for a TV14 rating when they do get a tv deal given some of the guys they have signed, namely Joey Janela and Jimmy Havoc.

I'm gonna wait and see with AEW, although I'd like to see it succeed. A lot of great ideas on paper, but want to see more than 2 events and vague talk of a great TV deal first.

Their first show is shaping up to be a great set of matches if nothing else -

Hangman Page vs PAC (fka Neville)
Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros
Over Budget Battle Royale (the All In battle royale was great)
Jericho vs Omega

My guess right now is that they land on TBS. The Khans are putting a lot of resources behind this so I don't think you will see some shitty tv deals like Impact had.

RAW might be worth checking out tonight. Sounds like Rock and Batista are in the area.

Most of the meatheads traded in their Austin 3:16 shirts for Ed Hardy.

Might be the most stacked RAW talent wise in a long time.

You know someone is going into a cake.
