Its strength is in its recontextualization of the genre.
It's a pretty straightforward genre film, so if you know the 'twist' or anticipate it, it's a little 'well, duh.'
But it's well shot and efficient in its narrative.
Kind of like when you enjoy 'Speed,' then you realize it's 'Die Hard, . . . on a Bus.' You can appreciate the craft of adapting the narrative to another setting and how it creates new drama, even while you recognize that it's formulaic at its base. [Reply]
